Global quality management standard for the automotive industry
IATF 16949:2016 is a global quality management standard for the automotive industry. It was published on October 1, 2016 by the International Automotive Task Force. IATF 16949:2016 is based on ISO 9001:2015 and contains additional requirements specific to the automotive industry. It focuses on developing a quality management system that reduces variation and waste, and prevents defects. The goal is to meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively.
